A must-try brasserie in Rouen: the food is quite good and the view is magnificent. The only major drawback: the friendliness of the servers, which leaves much to be desired, regardless of how busy it is. Fortunately, the owner is pleasant.

I really love this traditional brasserie. It's well located at the foot of the cathedral, with a decor reminiscent of bygone days, impeccable service, and delicious food. I used to come here a few years ago when I was working in Rouen. I happily returned this evening, and the calf's head is still incredible. The dishes are expertly prepared with great skill. I can't wait for my next trip to Rouen!

A very warm welcome, Sunday lunch without a reservation, good food, a true brasserie with impeccable service: just as good as Lipp! Highly recommended!

Nice brasserie, though busy, with tables close together. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. Everything was fresh. The toilet is downstairs.

The menu prices reflect the quality of the food (it's not overpriced), however, I wouldn't call this establishment a brasserie but rather a bouillon (or a good canteen). For €10-15 a dish, you shouldn't expect miracles. For an everyday meal, it's good value for money, even if it's a bit noisy and sometimes a little too lively!

Very friendly staff. Although booked out for lunch on the 25 th (!) December I got a table. Food was fine . Prices reasonable.

While on a river cruise on the Seine, we spent a day in Rouen and stopped into this restaurant for lunch. It’s in a great location with shopping and historical sites nearby. The restaurant was very busy the day we were there. The food was good; had a fish dish which was pretty tasty. The desserts were quite good as was the bread. If you visit, try the Tiramisu with Spekulos or the Chocolate Mousse.

12/12/2025: An iconic spot in Rouen, this inn is a must-visit on the Place du Vieux Marché. The cuisine is delicious and refined. I highly recommend it. However, you'll need a decent budget to eat there.
