Wow! That was delicious. A beautiful ribeye steak. Nothing better to enjoy a lovely holiday day. Great atmosphere and a great team in the dining room.

We received a very warm welcome from a friendly and funny manager. From the main course to dessert, we ate incredibly well. Everything was very generous and delicious. Special mention goes to the custom-made vegetarian platter with a generous portion of truffade and perfectly roasted vegetables. We left happy and full, ready to tackle the Plomb du Cantal.

The welcome was fantastic, and the booking system was incredibly efficient. The value for money and quantity was excellent. The service was generous and quick. All this in an authentic mountain hut with a view of cows in the foreground and the Plomb du Cantal mountain in the background!

The setting is lovely and the food is excellent. Generous portions mean you get your money's worth. Special mention for the truffade and the pachade 🤤.

A warm welcome, friendly service, and a pleasant terrace. However, it's not a traditional mountain hut, but rather a restaurant catering to a high demand, serving several hundred covers with good-quality, probably industrially produced food, sold at high prices.

I find some recent comments rather harsh, and I wanted to offer a bit of nuance. Le Buron de Prat de Bouc is first and foremost a mountain establishment in an exceptional setting, serving traditional and generous Auvergne cuisine. Of course, as everywhere, there might be a day with a longer wait, a blunder in the service, or an experience that doesn't meet everyone's expectations. But to reduce the entire team's work to a single incident or a few unpleasant moments seems frankly unfair to me. Behind every restaurant, there are people who work hard, long days, sometimes very busy shifts, and a huge amount of dedication. This obviously doesn't preclude criticism when it's justified, but there's a difference between explaining a bad experience and tearing an establishment down. Le Buron remains a magnificent place, with a true identity, local cuisine, and many customers who leave very happy. A little moderation and kindness in the comments never hurts.

A very good meal, well served and of high quality. We had a wonderful time, and as an added bonus, we stayed in a beautiful mountain hut in a stunning setting. Not to be missed.
