Update 10/26 It was really pleasant chatting with Salah, a great way to start the day in his company with a good coffee. All the best to him, and I look forward to seeing him again in the Aligre neighborhood. 04/26 The service could be improved; you're easily overlooked by the regulars. Today, the coffee on offer is from Cameroon. I had a long black coffee (€1.80), and it seems to me that the roasting is well done, as I detected cocoa notes. I'll definitely be back.

Loved the coffee and the service

In the heart of the old market, far from the fading hype Paul, master, artist of the grain, Salah brought him life with quartz, and young Nabil learns the love of the craft at the heart of this counter. Much more than just a café, it's the heart of the neighborhood, A shining sun, the last bastion of authenticity.

By far the best coffee in Paris, I would happily cross the city on foot, even in a storm, to have a coffee at Salah and Paul's 🩵

Great experience this morning at Café Aouba. The atmosphere is very pleasant, coinciding with the Wednesday morning market, and the gentleman gave us a very warm welcome. We enjoyed an excellent coffee at the counter. I'll definitely be back to buy more coffee!

My go-to coffee spot during the stay in Paris! It is such a lovely neighbourhood coffee joint where all the locals come in and enjoy their morning coffee! Super friendly owner and wonderful latte! Recommended for anyone if you are staying near Gare de Lyon!!
