The Café Roi Albert is a nice café, especially in the evening, where you can sit outside and enjoy a glass of red wine. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. The French fries were excellent and perfectly prepared. The service has the potential to be more friendly and attentive. Some staff seemed quite rushed, which is understandable, but it slightly affected the overall comfort. One waiter moved very quickly—which can be a positive—but it occasionally felt a bit disruptive for nearby guests. That said, Oliver stands out as very kind, attentive, and professional. Overall, a good experience with room for improvement in service.

I have eaten at Au Roi Albert twice, now, at the time of writing. My personal favourite dish is Italian, and the premises caters to this. On Friday, 3 April last, I had a spaghetti bolognase, which was delicious. I also had a large pint of Midway. I had dessert of apple pie, after, then. I returned on Saturday afternoon, and I had the mixed sandwich for lunch, which was wonderful. Finally, on Sunday, 5 April last, I had a late meal of the steak and chips, plus dessert of ice cream. The staff are very friendly, welcoming and accommodating here, which can only be a plus. The manageresse of this premises is a pure Lady, too, and she runs a very tight ship, speaking from experience. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I look forward to returning when I visit Lourdes again in September of this year. À bientôt, mes amis! Loyal customers for several years, we noticed a decline in quality during our last visit. The dishes were less well-prepared than before—perhaps a change of chef? That said, the prices remain very attractive, making it still a good option for a simple meal.
