Café Bard'O sur Sanary-Sur-Mer

We are regulars at this ideally located restaurant, coming here whenever we're in Sanary. We've enjoyed some excellent daily specials, with great value for money. However, on our last visit in December, they offered fish and chips. Not being fans of fast food, we opted for the set menu. The aged beef was tough, and the dessert, perhaps not fresh, had a soggy, cold pastry. Please, go back to how you used to be; we're so used to eating here.

We had a wonderful time at Bard'ô. The place is superb, with tasteful decor that immediately creates a pleasant atmosphere. The care taken with the dishes is evident both visually and in their flavor. For starters, we enjoyed a very fresh tuna tartare and a small beef and caramelized onion roll, both original and delicious. For our main course, the veal Milanese, cordon bleu style, served with polenta fries and a Parmesan cream, was a real treat. The other dish, pasta with beef confit served directly in its pan, was very generous and perfectly executed. The only slight disappointment of the meal was the "café gourmand," consisting of three cookies topped with peanut cream. It was too simple and lacked variety for the price of dessert, especially considering the quality of the rest of the meal. Despite this, we loved our experience and highly recommend this restaurant. We will gladly come back!

Our first visit to Bord'o! We had a great time. As for the meal? Excellent from cocktail to dessert, plus great service from Kevin. We'll definitely be back for a themed evening. Highly recommended!

Bard’Ô boasts a magnificent setting, right on the edge of Portissol beach: superb views, a relaxed atmosphere, and truly pleasant decor. It’s an ideal spot for a drink or to enjoy a sunset. However, my opinion is rather mixed on the rest. The food is decent, but the quality can vary from day to day, and the prices are rather high for portions that are sometimes a bit small. The service is friendly but not always consistent: some evenings everything runs smoothly, other times it’s slower and forgetful. Ultimately, it’s a very pleasant place for its setting and atmosphere, but the overall experience depends a lot on the moment. A good place to relax by the sea, provided you don’t have overly high expectations for the food and service.

A very pleasant dinner with friends and high-quality food (for me: monkfish basket, "original" apple tart, surprising non-alcoholic cocktail). Our waiter Kevin was lovely and helpful. A truly wonderful time.

As lifelong lovers of Portissol Bay, we had a wonderful time at Bard'ô. The cordon bleu was truly delicious, perfectly prepared, and flavorful. We received a warm welcome upon arrival, and the service throughout the meal was impeccable: friendly, attentive, and professional. The setting is also very pleasant, making the experience even more enjoyable. A truly excellent restaurant that we highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time at Bardo! The menu was really excellent and great value for money. The steak tartare starter was a little too spicy for my taste, but everything else was perfect. The atmosphere at the end of the evening was incredible, with a superb music selection – kudos to the DJ! I'll definitely be back.

Fantastic welcome! The service was pleasant, discreet, and always with a smile, despite our large table. I found the menu elegant, but a bit pricey for the quality offered. The appetizers were small, and the stuffing was slightly overcooked. The carpaccio, on the other hand, was delicious but unfortunately too salty, which was a shame. A major drawback was the beef from the set menu: I had ordered it rare, but it arrived overcooked, probably kept warm under a heat lamp or in the oven. As a lover of good meat, I was very disappointed. However, the desserts were excellent, truly!

For the 40th birthday party, there were about thirty of us: everything was perfect – the food, quality, price, served all at once, the good atmosphere, the attentiveness, etc. etc. Real business owners, the kind you don't see much anymore 😄
