Forget those €3 street crepes. This buckwheat galette with cheese, ham, and egg, accompanied by a craft cider, changed my standards. The price is incredibly fair for the quality of the ingredients.

Delicious crepe with lots of choice

Breizh Café was one of the highlights of my time in Paris. I wanted an authentic French galette, and this place absolutely delivered. The buckwheat galette was perfectly crisp around the edges while staying tender inside, and the combination of mushrooms, caramelized onions, melted cheese, and a perfectly cooked egg was incredible. Every ingredient tasted fresh and high quality. The simple side salad was fresh and lightly dressed, balancing the richness of the galette beautifully. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and efficient without ever feeling rushed. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated having several excellent options to choose from rather than feeling limited. It’s the kind of place that feels authentic without being pretentious. The one thing I would love to see is a stronger selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Adding a quality non-alcoholic beer along with a non-alcoholic red and white wine would make the experience even better for those of us who choose not to drink alcohol while still wanting to enjoy thoughtful pairings with our meal. I would absolutely return the next time I’m in Paris. If you’re looking for an authentic Breton galette in a relaxed, welcoming setting, Breizh Café is an easy recommendation.
