Great address in the heart of Aix en Provence.
Very beautiful and very pleasant garden. Whether for lunch or for tea and a pastry, it is a very pleasant place where you feel sheltered from prying eyes.
In addition there are exhibitions that you can do at the museum as well.
I recommend!

We came back after having had bad experiences there.
Excellent surprise, the service has become professional and competent and the cuisine has improved.
Congratulations to the new team

A timeless break in an idyllic setting with refined dishes (Roma salad and lemon meringue tart which is a delight), a welcome and quality service! Thank you for this moment! I remain an unconditional fan and I will definitely come back!

The dishes and desserts are good, the waiters are very friendly, and there is a good atmosphere, especially in the garden in summer. However, the prices are too high, especially since you also have to pay entry to get there.

Sublime place! Green oasis for a refreshing break
Surprising, even slightly unpleasant, experience with the “master setter”: the only person authorized to assign us a table. Maybe he could use a vacation.

Impossible to visit Aix without stopping by the museum and the café. A midday break in the garden, an oasis of greenery overlooking another small French garden, an original salad and a chocolate cake: the “signature” of Philippe Segond, will reconcile you with the summer heat.

The reason I am writing this review is to let prospective clients know that although the Caumont is a fabulous venue with elegant rooms, a magnificent garden and good food, the service a friend and I received earlier this week was dreadful. For a start, you cannot book and have to queue, which we did for about ten minutes. I was with a disabled friend and when an opportunity arrived for us to sit in the waiting foyer, which is also part of the restaurant, we were rudely spoken to by the director who told us to go outside and join the queue again. My friend asked very politely to be allowed to sit, as she was disabled but was told that she couldn't. We held our ground and after another ten minutes, decided to order a glass of wine each whilst we waited. A waiter came and wrote down our order only to be told by the director to cancel it. He then went out of his way to seat others before us. We eventually got a table and had a nice meal. The Caumont is a regular venue for us as we both live near Aix en Provence and make regular visits to the art exhibitions they have there, but we will think twice next time when it comes to eating in the restaurant. Such officious rudeness is totally unacceptable, especially when it is directed at two elderly ladies, one of whom is clearly incapacitated. I have given this review three stars - for the building, decor, garden and food. For service I would say "nil point!"
