We were a table of 12 in a packed restaurant, and yet there was no wait. The welcome and service were extremely pleasant: everyone was smiling and attentive to whether we needed anything, even during our meal. And the food was simply delicious. Go there if you're ever in the area: the mushroom fondue, among other things, is MAGICAL.

It was good, but honestly, €25 per person for just the fondue is a bit steep. The owner probably wasn't very pleasant, but the gentleman in his forties was very kind and helpful. Thank you to him.

A small restaurant on the village's main square with delicious food. Fish, lamb with sides, and burgers—everything was fresh and excellent! We highly recommend it.

A great chef in the Ossau Valley, let's take advantage of it! It's rare to taste dishes that are so perfectly executed, flavorful, beautiful, and creative. This is a truly great chef who has set up shop in Laruns this winter (25-26)! Go without hesitation!

L'Estive doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's well worth a visit once you're inside. A warm welcome from the charming and friendly owner (who is from Burgundy, no less), and attentive service staff. The menus are traditional and deliciously prepared. The sea bass with herb white sauce, served with mashed potatoes and vegetables, is a delight. The homemade terrine and its presentation are excellent.
