Cafe de la Fontaine sur Maussane-Les-Alpilles

A huge thank you to Café de la Fontaine for this wonderful experience! The food was excellent, the staff attentive, and the atmosphere very pleasant for an evening with friends. I highly recommend it!

Good restaurant in the center of Maussane. The service is pleasant and quite fast. The food is good, the dishes are tasty and well-prepared. No complaints whatsoever. The terrace is large and very pleasant in the summer, perfect for enjoying the surroundings. A good place to eat.

2025/2026: The café expanded by taking over the neighboring space. The space is welcoming, with comfortable and imposing armchairs, an electric baby grand piano, and a large, spacious kitchen. The restaurant menu is very comprehensive and of high quality; you almost wonder why pizzas are even on the menu. They even have lobster, sole, and truffles. The drinks menu is very extensive. We enjoyed a lamb shank, sea bream, a burger, and... a pizza 😂 The desserts were pretty good, except for the tiramisu that evening, which was too sweet, the egg whites were overcooked, there wasn't enough coffee, and they had Nesquik on the tiramisu... The cellars with the aged beef are still there, but I didn't see it on the menu. The service was friendly and efficient. The review needed updating. 2023: Still in February, still a nice place for a drink or a bite to eat. 2022: A cozy café-restaurant with a lovely decor and atmosphere. It was winter, so there was no terrace and no restaurant service either; we were there on a Thursday. Out of season, you need to check the opening hours. Friendly welcome, beautiful cuts of dry-aged meat that I would have loved to try 😉 I'll have to come back.

Nice, well-patronized café with excellent cappuccino served quickly by friendly staff.

A place I really love. We went as a family without a reservation during the week and were warmly welcomed by the staff. It was hard to choose because the whole menu looked amazing. We'll be back soon to try other dishes, and in the meantime, we ordered pizzas that we picked up on a Monday. They were fantastic and delicious. Thanks again, and see you very soon.

Caesar salad, clearly prepared some time ago! Sparsely garnished except for store-bought croutons, very salty, wilted salad, and an overly mustardy dressing. Inedible. Other guests: 2 overcooked salads drowning in a tasteless dressing, squid left with its cartilage intact... and not many of them. 3 "fishermen's catches," however, were very, very good.
