I've decided to post a review after at least three visits to this establishment, and one thing is consistently true in our comments: it's a truly great place. The food is good, whether it's the menu with its typical northern mussels or the homemade pastries. But the daily special—yesterday's simple pork dish was very well prepared with a sauce that was anything but basic. The restaurant's brasserie-style atmosphere is spotless, including the restrooms. The ambiance is excellent: every time, we're there as a family. With young children, not the easiest customers, we're always warmly welcomed, even when, like yesterday, we arrive at the end of service. The clientele is diverse. Yesterday, while visiting Nausicaa, we made a detour to have lunch at the Café de la Mairie because we feel comfortable there. It's a real "family" atmosphere. Finally, the prices are just right, without being inflated, and there's a children's menu that does the job for parents or grandparents who are still involved. No, really, we wanted to write this post to thank them for these consistently excellent experiences at the Café de la Mairie: they are true professionals. And with a homogeneous team to boot.
