A lovely café, in a lovely town, with a lovely terrace where they serve you a lovely coffee. Café de la Poste, what else?

Nice bar to sit and chill in the hot heat but it is next to a main road with lots of wagons coming past however there is a glass screen to stop some of the noise however it doesn't bother us as we return every year. They do a mean ice-cream and the prices are not too bad too.

A pleasant spot to soak up some time with a cold beer or several on a very hot day. The landlord is friendly, the beer cold and the ambience pleasant.

The café in Olonzac where everyone wants to go. A delicious drink or snack and still affordable. Regularly live music or live football European Championships or World Cup on a big screen. Tuesday market day is always crowded.

La Poste Martin's Restaurant

27/09/2024: Our table for two was laid on the little terrace outside the Brasserie. The restaurant was full and had a cosy, fun atmosphere. As we sipped our aperitifs - kir à la mûre and a beer - we chose from the luscious looking blackboard specials. We shared a seasonal soup of velvet, creamy pumpkin topped with a slice of caramelised foie gras and, a spectacular plat de fruit de mer. This comprised of plump gambas, glistening oysters and razor clams drenched in garlicky butter. Baguette slices delivered in a brown paper bag mopped up the juices. I continued with a succulent carpaccio of bavette, a fresh salad and good, crunchy chips. My husband attacked a plateful of frogs legs and deliciously cooked ratte potatoes. The portions were generous, so we were too full for pudding. We just had to make do with a cognac, as the little nocturnal Vendange tractors raced past, laden with grapes and clearing the way with spotlights. Our wine had been local Minervois white with the seafood and red with the meat, probably produced at the wine cooperative just down the road. Côte Brasserie, the food, the wine, the atmosphere and the welcoming staff gave us a true flavour of the village, nestled deep within Occitanie, well worth harvesting.
