Hello! We took a 25-kilometer bike ride to visit the pretty village of Naves. And of course, we stopped at La Sardine. The place is magnificent, with its well-shaded terrace overlooking the medieval streets of this pretty village. The waitress has a charming smile and made us feel very welcome. She explained the menu to us, pointing to the blackboards hanging on the wall. My wife and I were delighted. Our plates were served. And then, well, how can I put it, I completely disagree with the previous reviews. We were disappointed. First, the price. 16 euros for a small Cévennes platter… Three mixed sausages, a small piece of caillette, half a goat cheese… All that for 16 euros? I forgot that two tapas were included. But what if we want to add tapas? 7 euros each… It goes quickly… And the problem is that you can't order too much since credit cards aren't accepted. Cash and checks only. On the other hand, the citrus beer was perfect. Unfortunately, we didn't have the budget to try the ice creams, which looked very promising. Because when you're cycling or hiking, it's not often you leave with a lot of cash… Conclusion: the place is great, but expensive compared to the quantities offered. Accept credit cards.
