A legendary spot not to be missed in Grenoble. The second oldest café in France. A traditional, family-run establishment. Brasserie fare, but also oysters, seafood, etc. We received a very warm welcome. The owner is approachable and friendly. The service is excellent and well-organized. Keep up the good work, we'll be back when we're in the area again. Thank you! 😃👍

Every year we celebrate our anniversary there, on the evening of September 13th. In 2024 and 2025, we particularly appreciated the welcome, the dishes (duck and beef fillet Rossini), and the courtesy of the waiters. This September 13th, for the lunch service, the same meats were perfect, BUT: very small portions of vegetables, mediocre fries, tiny pieces of white bread baguette, mustard in a plastic bottle...and a waiter with his shirt untucked 😟: very poor, all this for an establishment with this reputation...you'll agree 🤔😉😊!

Excellent service, delicious and well-balanced cuisine. I don't understand the negative reviews about this brasserie. I will gladly return. We tried the oysters, the roasted Saint-Marcellin cheese, the crab, and the profiteroles. Everything is homemade and perfectly executed.

Had a nice meal in this atmospheric cafe with historical touches. Friendly male waiter. It's a shame that the music stopped at some point, which seemed to be the first signal that we had to leave. When the female waiter then indicated with a "get out of here" gesture that it was almost 3 pm, it became completely clear. A waste of such a beautiful cafe. The food and wine were fine. Not expensive.

This place is completely underrated. It's a shame about these reviews. We've been here twice. The oysters and snails are absolutely fresh and VERY delicious. I saw the dishes on the neighboring tables and wish I could stay here for a week and try the entire menu. :) Service is 10 out of 10. And read the latest reviews. :)
