A great restaurant where I had delicious tripe à la mode de Caen. And the homemade rice pudding... a real treat. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

Always a warm welcome, the food is very good, and the wine is well-chosen. A great place for a quick meal as a couple or family.

We found this place by accident while looking for a lunch place near the castle, and I am delighted that we did. The lunch specials were excellent and service was quick and friendly. It's a bit noisy at lunchtime because they were very busy (and obviously popular!) but that was the only detraction.

I'd say it's an upscale bar with a chic clientele. The owner is really nice, but I prefer his waiter, the one who tries to pass himself off as the owner. 😉♻️🫵🏼😂😉👍🏼 They have small live music nights from time to time; it's very 80s. Parking is really difficult, but otherwise, it's fantastic.

Keys & Co

11/09/2026: Breakfasts are not just sweet, but also savory. They're hearty and typically French. You can't ask for anything different from the menu. It's quite expensive for an Italian breakfast, but everything is very good. The French toast is top notch! Oh... these places always open around 9 or 9:30. More suitable for brunch, perhaps.
05/09/2026: There’s two Keys & Co in Caen, both started by a Christian ministry ‘Bless Network’ to be the go-to in Caen for great coffee, great food and great company. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the food very much - definitely worth a visit!

La Planche A

10/09/2026: The initial phone call was very pleasant! The staff were very welcoming and attentive! The platters were delicious and generously filled with fresh ingredients! It's a shame we booked too early; there was a bit of a lack of atmosphere, but nothing serious, we were responsible, lol.
06/09/2026: Very surprised by the quality and quantity! Honestly very good, I recommend it!
