20/02/2026: First lunch at this well-regarded café-brasserie; I know this place and have stopped by for coffee from time to time. With the chef absent, the owner offered a simple set menu: a grilled steak with fries and ratatouille – simple but good, just like homemade. The staff was friendly and efficient, with little waiting between courses. We'll wait for the chef's return to try the full menu.

05/03/2026: A warm and welcoming place that reminded me of the Auberge de l’Abbaye my grandmother ran in Bourg Achard, both in terms of the architecture and the quality of the cuisine. Each dish has its own visual appeal, texture, and flavor, all executed with finesse and subtlety. Louis Delestre is a talented chef; don't hesitate to treat your taste buds at La Croix d’Or!
