Really meh, I find the other reviews really nice. The meat is good in the dishes but the fries are not homemade and all accompanied by 2 salad leaves and a tomato wedge. Certainly the menus are not excessive but they could be a little more elaborate… The establishment has potential, it’s a shame everything really seems “Canteen”. Picking up the order is nice. A little disappointed it’s a shame…

The feeling of being at the self-service restaurant, you order and go get your meal. These are not good homemade products as I read in the comments: the veggie salad that I ate was made from vegetables from the supermarket. The best was the rocamadour cheese. If you are looking for a good restaurant, go your way. If you want to eat like a canteen, then go for it.

Passing through for a visit to Rocamadour, I had not initially planned to eat there but being parked in the parking lot right next to it at meal time I tried the experiment, afraid of finding the restaurants in the old town. crowded city when I arrived. Between restaurant and cafeteria because yes, as indicated in some comments, you have to order at the counter, pay and collect the dishes yourself when your pager rings. But for everything else, no false note, the food is very good, the products are fresh and local. The welcome is smiling and pleasant. Value for money more than adequate for me.

Well located, pleasant staff, we advocate cooking like grandmothers, which appealed to us. Ordering and service at the counter, very well organized, with pagers. However, the plates are far from copious. Extremely minimalist. Mixed value for money, this will not be a recommendation.

07/07/2024: Habitués de Rocamadour, ce soir nous avions décidé de changer nos habitudes et de retourner à l'Estanquet dont nous avions gardé un bon souvenir il y a 2 ans. Si les plats étaient corrects le service est calamiteux. Certes le serveur n'est là que depuis peu mais on pourrait au moins "l'encadrer et le former". Cafouillage dans le service, verre de rosé servi bien chaud. Il semble plus important de bien nettoyer la table voisine que de s'intéresser à la commande du client. Pour 78 euros à 2, cet amateurisme n'est pas acceptable et en plus pour ce prix là j'ai eu le droit de me faire sermonner par la serveuse parce que mes remarques n'étaient pas constructives!.. A éviter en attendant , je l'espère, une amélioration!..

Les Vieilles Tours

22/10/2024: I've done quite a bit of traveling in France, and this has, by far, been one of my fave places to stay. It's lovely, the people who run it are so kind and helpful, the rooms are comfortable, the grounds are beautiful . The breakfast was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend a stay here. We even decided to stay over an extra night! Who doesn't love a castle stay?!
07/10/2024: Very nice location with a beautiful view from our room. Super friendly people, clean spacious rooms, well-maintained swimming pool and excellent breakfast with local products. We had a wonderful stay! The only downside: the bathroom was a bit dated and not very convenient for showering if you are 1.90m tall.
