A place that exudes the spirit of good old-fashioned cuisine, with a nautical theme and a super friendly team of waiters and waitresses... We love coming back every year, if only to enjoy a glass of "little happiness" 😉

The fact that the entire terrace was full speaks for itself. This is a fine restaurant, pleasantly situated by the small harbor of Ars-en-Ré. The staff was very friendly. The menu has a lot to offer but is perhaps a bit disorganized. A cross between Mexican, seafood specialties, and hamburgers. All in all, we had a pleasant meal here.

€8.20 for a bottled beer on the terrace at 4:00 PM is a bit pricey. Is it a case of "selection based on money," catering only to Parisians and foreigners?
I've known this place for years, and it wasn't the same atmosphere.
Now I understand why the terrace wasn't as crowded as I've seen it used to be.

A delicious savory crepe.
A plate of food, a sundae, a Coke, and a coffee for under €30, plus a tip for the service.
A quiet spot opposite the port. Friendly staff and free parking available.

Overall, a good experience. The food was good and the setting pleasant. A slight disappointment came with the bill: a coffee we hadn't ordered had been added (fortunately refunded), along with an extra charge of €4 (2 x €2). When we returned to point this out, the waitress explained that these were the sauces served with the ribeye steak, charged extra without this being mentioned when we ordered. Ultimately, this lack of transparency left us with mixed feelings. (lunch menu)
