Finally a friendly place in the City Center where regulars and people passing through are welcomed WITH a smile. Try to stop by one morning when the chef is COOKING, it will make you want to come back for lunch. The staff is efficient and friendly even (or especially) when there are crowds. I noticed that there was very little turnover. This is a positive sign for me. But come and see for yourself ;-)

Very nice, atmospheric place in the center of Nates. With good prices for food and drinks and nice staff who help you with the menu. Very good food!

Finding it by chance, it became our meeting point for lunch during our 15-day visit to Nantes. Good food, excellent products, the quality is there… The service is perfect, the staff competent and smiling

Classic bistro bar restaurant where we can eat starter, main course and dessert. The food is cooked on site and the service is fast, the staff is friendly and there if needed, I remember she gave me a hand with my stroller, thank you all. The prices vary depending on my part, a dish, two coffees and a bottled juice I paid 20 euros.

I just arrived in town, hungry as a grizzly. Found this place just walking past and it looked good so I ordered a charcuterie/cheese plate and a glass of wine. Wow, it was so good and all of the staff were super-nice! I highly recommend it, I will certainly return.

A very well-kept café with a nice, quiet outdoor area under the trees. I had the daily special, which was delicious. The waitress was very friendly, attentive and quick. Highly recommended. The only disadvantage: only 1 toilet!

10/07/2025: I was impressed by the dynamism and creativity of the Lieu Unique. It boasts superb exhibitions and a friendly atmosphere. A pleasant café, a fascinating industrial building, and numerous cultural events. A great way to spend a few hours in Nantes.

La Cigale

16/12/2024: I like La Cigale because it is a magnificent place, I find the stimulating atmosphere of the brasserie there, the servers are friendly and attentive, the cuisine without being very sophisticated, haute cuisine style, is a mix between tradition and creativity around local seasonal products: the food is very good, very fresh and the wine list is to match. It is also the emblematic place to take non-Nantes residents to impress them. It's an unforgettable moment for them, especially if you offer them the very well-written book on La Cigale to deepen their experience.
16/12/2024: A very beautiful place! The decor takes us into a moment between parentheses for a sweet break. Warm welcome and very pleasant service.
