The gazpacho de courgette is to die for! The cold pistou is just as delicious. Everyone should try them.

They ticked all the right boxes for a delightful Provence experience: surprising Plat du jour (the most delicious risotto I have ever had 😍), very friendly service, and a magnificent Joie de Vivre atmosphere. And we didn't even have a terrace seat (make a reservation!).

As with many restaurants in France, the entrance is unassuming, but leads to a nice indoor area and a beautiful terrace. We came for lunch, but ended up eating inside as it was cool, breezy, and with showers. On a nice weather day, the terrace with its views of the valley would have been great.
Starting with the salmon gravalax, which was excellent, we had an asparagus tart and the fish of the day for plats. The fish was delicious and the tart was good. Settled for wine by the glass as we went bland and rouge.
The staff was very efficient and might we say energetic. An overall great meal in Menerbes, would recommend to anyone.

In the heart of the Luberon, Le Progrès cultivates a discreet, almost timeless elegance, where apparent simplicity conceals true culinary precision.
From the very first course, the warm focaccia reveals itself to be remarkably well-balanced: an airy crumb, a slightly crispy crust, enhanced by a meltingly soft onion compote with gently caramelized notes. The thinly sliced coppa provides a salty counterpoint that delicately balances the whole. A masterful opening, without unnecessary showmanship, but incredibly effective.
The main course confirms this level of quality. The rib of beef, seared with precision, is cooked to perfection, revealing juicy and intensely flavorful meat. The glazed carrots, glossy and slightly sweet, add depth and freshness, while the silky-smooth mashed potatoes offer comfort with an almost nostalgic elegance. Here, everything is about balance and respect for the ingredients.
The dessert, a variation on chocolate, concludes the meal with a certain controlled audacity. A play on textures, subtle bitterness, and perfectly measured sweetness: a delectable composition that avoids the pitfall of excessive sugar, favoring instead aromatic depth.
The service, attentive without being intrusive, naturally complements this experience, in a setting where Provençal charm works its magic without artifice.
This is an establishment that doesn't seek to impress, but whose sincerity and precision leave a lasting impression. A restaurant to which one returns less for surprises than for the rediscovery of a rare finesse.
