Café du Repos sur Hoedic

Hello, We had lunch at this establishment during our visit to the island. The two young waiters gave us a warm welcome and did a good job as seasonal workers. The food was good, but still far too expensive considering the portion sizes. Such a price for a croque monsieur with an extra side of fries is outrageous. Parisian prices... This is an island with very few restaurants, so there isn't much choice, and tourists are trapped, with most not coming back anyway. As always, come and form your own opinion. Or bring a picnic and save your money for the evening trip back to the mainland. Have a great summer everyone.

It's a magical place. The staff is amazing, and the food is just as good. More than just a favorite!

A great experience today, though it started off a bit shaky: lukewarm wine, forgotten order... but the team managed to salvage these little hiccups. Great food, great servers, great atmosphere! A must-try!

Exquisite cuisine served by a friendly and efficient "pirate" Don't miss the French toast with salted caramel – a true delight! Take your time on the pleasant terrace of Café du Repos... the boat back to the mainland hasn't arrived yet!

The food is absolutely fantastic (marinated tuna, mussels and fries, Caesar salad, lemon dessert, crêpes, and homemade chocolate mousse): I went to congratulate the kitchen staff, the servers are very friendly and definitely deserve a tip, and the atmosphere is peaceful under a gigantic cypress tree. A culinary paradise on an idyllic island.

A truly beautiful place. The welcome was wonderful. And the meal was perfect: a risotto primaverde with seasonal green vegetables—a delight!—and a creamy lemon dessert with a Breton crumble. We loved it. Can't wait to come back.

Fantastic experience, delicious food with wonderful flavors, and excellent service from the waiters, who were full of interesting information about island life 😉. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to this beautiful island.

Fantastic welcome, even though we arrived at 2:15 pm as a party of five... they took us in for tapas: two platters of excellent quality, superb skate rillettes, and also hummus and fries. The service was top-notch and friendly! And we finished with delicious ice cream and incredible floating islands! Highly recommended!
