Great place for lunch in a beautiful setting

Fantastic experience at Cafoutche in Strasbourg! The welcome is warm and the service very pleasant. The food is delicious, inventive, and prepared with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is friendly and perfect for a meal with friends or family. A must-try!

I've been coming here for lunch regularly for the past five years, and I want to start by saying that the waitstaff is truly excellent and does everything they can to ensure customer satisfaction. For that, I say THANK YOU. However, I made a reservation 10 days ago for lunch inside. When I arrived, it seemed my reservation hadn't been registered, according to the two waiters. Management took the call, but nothing was specified regarding reservations. The waiters did manage to ensure I could have a professional lunch as planned. I also had a reservation for two people on the terrace yesterday. Upon arrival, the waiters, very embarrassed, couldn't find our name anywhere for lunch. Again, management took the call. The food took a very long time to come out of the kitchen yesterday at lunchtime. And at the end of the meal, I asked for an ashtray and was told they'd been waiting for 15 days. This is quite unbelievable, since there have always been ashtrays outside. And I have to speak with management. So I ask to speak to management at the end of the meal, and once again the somewhat bewildered waiters tell me that the new manager left during service. I must admit that since this change in management, there are many things that need to be reviewed.

The service is friendly, and their bacon and cheese pretzels are exceptional. The prices are very reasonable too.

So there you have it! This place is unique because of its special atmosphere. All the old-timers at Cafoutche have made it a place dedicated to waiting, a time to relax, meet people, read, chat, and even express yourself. But above all, it's a special place in Strasbourg. Why? Go check it out! Rain or shine, dark or cloudy, we still have time to live. At Cafoutche! P.S.: Incredible homemade food! Local beer, delicious coffee. And the TNS next door.
