Cafe D'utopia sur Bordeaux

A place where the layout of the tables, perhaps close together, probably needs to be changed with a large room, a good breakfast, friendly staff and fast service.

We found the place randomly on a street we took. I love the atmosphere of this place. We arrived around 3 p.m. and the service was impeccable, the vegetarian salad is incredible, next time I will try the desserts!!

Café ideally located with a beautiful menu full of homemade offerings. On the other hand, and I agree with the other comments: what a shame that all this is ruined by the deplorable service! It seems like the team was passing the word around to see who would be the most unpleasant with customers, and who would be able to keep them waiting the longest! We almost have the impression of finding ourselves in a Parisian café as we are so poorly received. Totally out of step with the spirit of the place (the cinema).

Great location, pretty nice cafe decor. A continental formula including a hot drink, bread and jam (Very good) as well as a squeezed orange juice, dare we say that he was as eager as the waitress to serve us? Friendliness remains to be desired, apart from at the time of payment... Too bad, for an atypical place with potential (ideal sunshine) like this! Ps: We noted significant limescale marks on the glasses, the waitress's response: "We only have glasses with limescale" Ah well okay...

Just a gourmet break in the afternoon Quick service but the cocktail, cappuccino and small cake were really not great. The cheesecake on the other hand was very good which raises the level.

We had a drink on the terrace in the middle of the afternoon. The service was quite slow, so much so that we wondered if we should order at the bar. When we went to inquire, the reception was quite unpleasant. When ordering, we chose a mint iced tea. We were told, still unpleasantly, that it was an iced tea containing mint, lemon and ginger. It would be good to clarify the menu in this case (see photo) because the list presentation implies that the choice is possible between mint, lemon, ginger and the flavor of the week. When tasting, the iced tea was more like water with mint, lemon and ginger. There was little taste of tea. Special mention for the apple juice, made immediately, which is excellent and somewhat makes up for the mixed experience.

Incompetent bar waitress. Unable to treat the customer with Education. He refused to speak a language other than French if you spoke to him in Spanish, claiming that he only spoke French, although he understood perfectly and answered in English. What a clever employee they have.

The bar with terrace on Place Camille Julian is adjacent to the UTOPIA cinema The place is always crowded, with a very cinematic program and delicate decoration. A pleasant moment while waiting for the screening of your film by leafing through the free newspaper which presents the films on display. A Bordeaux must!

Le café utopia est superbe, chaleureux et accueillant! Un service rapide et agréable, la nourriture est très bonne! On trouve un large choix de table en extérieur comme en intérieur! Ce café est placé sur une superbe place, l’ambiance à l’intérieur est très agréable entre les vitraux, le côté cinéma et du jazz en musique de fond! Je recommande à 100%! Je vous souhaite une bonne découverte!

De passage à Bordeaux, nous nous sommes arrêtés dans ce lieu qui semblait sympathique. La serveuse était malheureusement mal aimable, l'accueil a été assez désagréable. Côté repas, nous avons pris une planche de charcuterie correcte, tout comme le verre de vin.
