While passing through Bordeaux, we stopped at this Japanese restaurant. It was very busy, but we managed to reserve a table for 9 pm. We ordered several different dishes to try them out. Everything was very good and expertly prepared. The maki rolls were wonderfully fresh. The iced tea was delicious. The waitresses were very welcoming and friendly.

Japanese cuisine was a revelation for me! And I'm so glad it was Café Japonais that gave me this experience 🇯🇵.
The dishes were both delicious and generous, the staff attentive and very helpful, and the atmosphere, after wandering the streets of Bordeaux, was a haven of peace.
Of course, I'll have to come back; there's still so much to discover on the menu 😋.

Ideally located in the heart of Bordeaux, next to Rue Sainte-Catherine, the longest pedestrian street in Europe. The service is impeccable; the waiters are incredibly attentive and respectful, even checking when the water carafe is empty to refill it. The meal was delicious from start to finish. For dessert, I had a homemade green tea mousse—a true delight. The set menu costs €15, making it very affordable. Go ahead and try it; you won't regret it.

This restaurant is definitely my favorite! The bento boxes are excellent, and having been to Japan, I can confirm they're very similar! And let's not even talk about the sushi/maki, which are simply delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant. Another plus is that the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the service and the food, compared to other Japanese restaurants.

First visit today, based on a recommendation. I had a very good meal; the bento boxes were generously sized and of high quality.
We also received a warm welcome. Service and order were taken quickly.
I highly recommend it and will definitely return to try other dishes.
