It had been so long since we'd been back to Café Le Français in Surgères, so what a pleasure it was to rediscover this place!
A truly lovely welcome, a super friendly team, and top-notch service. We immediately felt at home 😊
We had Spritz 🍹 and a delicious, generously filled charcuterie and cheese board with great bread 🧀🥖.
Everything was simple, delicious, and welcoming, with genuinely kind and smiling staff.
We had a wonderful time and will definitely be back! ❤️

We've had lunch there several times during our visit to the classic car meet on Sunday... It's perfect, with a vintage atmosphere, the cars, the accordion player outside the door... Superb... The ribeye steak is delicious, and the steak tartare is too... The owner and staff are very friendly! A very relaxing time with our beautiful cars! Don't change a thing! See you very soon! We decided to try again after a first visit where the wait was long. The place is superb and very well located, the terrace is pleasant. The menu has changed, different from the one offered on the website, and less budget-friendly. The food was good. Unfortunately, once again the wait was too long, 50 minutes to be served, which is difficult when you're working. A shame.

The nicest café to relax and have a drink. It overlooks the square and the castle. The food is good for a casual meal, and there's often entertainment on weekend evenings. It's THE central point and meeting place in Surgères.
