Café l'Univers sur Brive-La-Gaillarde

Very, very good. Enjoyable. You'll have a great time.

As tourists, we stopped at this bistro for lunch. We ate outside, where there was some passing traffic, and a group of people inside made it quite noisy, but not unpleasant. The service was quick, the owners were friendly and attentive to what was missing (an empty bread tray, for example). They offer classic French dishes: excellent bavette steak with shallots, or the butcher's cut, and for dessert, a delicious crème brûlée. The very definition of a bistro. Everything you expect from a bistro is there: simple, French cuisine with good value! We recommend it!

A very pleasant stop for a meal during a short trip to Brive-la-Gaillarde and the surrounding area, a brasserie I highly recommend! Delicious traditional cuisine, fast, warm, and efficient service. A resounding YES without reservation!

The owner and staff were very welcoming despite the late hour for lunch. We enjoyed our meal on the terrace.

The meal was excellent, everything was homemade. The fries were truly superb. The service was impeccable, with great warmth and kindness, especially towards a child. We highly recommend it.

The best service ever. The woman who served us was very patient with us despite our inexperience with French and local customs. Thank you! We had a simple breakfast, both simple and perfect.

Fantastic restaurant and great value for money! The dishes and desserts are excellent! Go there immediately, you won't regret it!!!

Nice food, pretty good value. Excellent friendly service.

Very warm welcome, lunch on the terrace and homemade food, thank you!

We had a wonderful meal at this excellent restaurant. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff were smiling. We were lucky enough to get a table for seven without a reservation.
