Café Palacito sur Biarritz

06/04/2026: We enjoyed the aperitif before dinner (and at lunch too…) every day of our holiday in Biarritz. We had their foie gras tapa and the white Côte de Gascogne every day. We also had their oysters and seafood at lunchtime. They have a great selection of wines by the glass (we really liked the Ivy No. 3 from Côtes de Gascogne, and also the Lanson Black Label champagne at a very reasonable price), and some very tempting platters and portions of excellent local products. The service was young and incredibly friendly; they treated us very well and professionally. Thank you!!

Located next to Les Halles, it's the ideal spot for a casual aperitif, with a lively and authentic atmosphere. The terrace and outdoor tables create the perfect place to relax, have a drink, and simply soak up the ambiance and the "people-watching" of Gente Guapa, an essential part of the experience. As for the food, their specialty—foie gras—is undoubtedly the star. The tapas are simple yet well-prepared, paired with good wines, making it a perfect stop for a light bite or aperitif. The service is usually quick and efficient. In short, a place with character, perfect for starting the evening or for a casual stop in the heart of Biarritz. Highly recommended for those seeking atmosphere, quality ingredients, and an authentic local experience.
