Café Roma sur Avignon

While passing through Avignon, we had lunch with family in this place which was formerly the palace stables. Good discovery, it seems to be an address renowned for its Italian dishes. The sharing platters are well stocked, the risotto and fish of the day are excellent. Concerning the desserts, I appreciated this slightly unstructured effect and revisited classic recipes of yesteryear, without losing the flavors. The service was good, maybe a little long. An address that I recommend.

🌟🌿 Veggie + vegan friendly restaurant with a nice choice of cocktails, delicious veggie and vegan starters (eggplant and gazpacho), the risotto can also be adapted to a vegan diet. Finally, very good desserts as well (fig cheesecake), impeccable welcome and service. All this in a magnificent setting, at the foot of an immense defensive tower of the Palais des Papes. We were seated on the terrace but the room is very beautiful!

Good food presentation. Service a little slow, but friendly. Very nice place behind the Palace of the Popes.

Le poisson c'était juste un tout petit morceau, tout minuscule, qui était perdu dans une crème au poivron! La salade d'accompagnement c'était quatre feuilles de Roquette (elles doivent être certainement comptées en cuisine). L'intitulé des plats est ridicule pour le tarif affiché! Tout est digne d'un air de violon d'Antonio Giacomo STRADIVARIUS.

The revisited desserts are delicious and prepared by a real pastry chef. The place (the terrace) is very nice, pleasant in summer. The place is a little hidden, which adds charm to the setting.

The well-designed menu offers tasty dishes with careful presentation. Congratulations to the head chef and his team, as well as the exceptional server and his team. Thank you for this great time.

The cuisine is fine, excellent and light, perfectly refreshing in the middle of the heat of the Festival. Local, quality products are delicately crafted in terms of flavors, without needing to be overly processed. The terrace in the shade of the Palais des Papes enjoys an extraordinarily privileged location. A stone's throw from the Théâtre des Doms.
