A wonderfully simple dish, expertly prepared with quality ingredients. Authentic, sourced from the local market. The service was friendly, welcoming, and clearly enjoyed. The only slight drawback was the somewhat uninspired and generic ambiance. Menu: Cucumber gazpacho with goat cheese, mussels in cream sauce with fries

29/03/2026: Friendly welcome, oriental decor but dated, service a bit unclear. The food was good but definitely not worth the prices (an average of €28 for a plate of couscous). We were expecting refined cuisine, something we weren't used to. The meat was good, as were the vegetables, but very roughly chopped. The sauce was good, but nothing that justifies the price. We were a group of 15, and at the end of the meal, the owner came with a tray of small desserts and asked who wanted some and who wanted tea. We thought it was a small gesture of goodwill, but it wasn't; everything was charged, even the tea. I really don't understand the prices; for me, it's not even worth half. At that price, I'd much rather go to a good bistro in the city center.
21/03/2026: Hello, I stopped for lunch at this couscous restaurant, what a wonderful place! And such a warm welcome! I ordered the Constantine couscous (chicken and merguez sausage). It was amazing! In a setting that allows you to dream a little. The couscous was so generous, all the ingredients were there. Inshallah... The owner and his son were very attentive, thank you. The prices are a bit high. A small price reduction would be welcome. Not forgetting the kitchen staff. Thank you, see you soon. Michel from Niort

28/03/2026: A lovely restaurant opposite the port of La Rochelle! Friendly staff, good food, and affordable prices! I highly recommend it.
22/03/2026: Le Pass'port is clearly a brasserie in the port of La Rochelle, a very touristy area designed to attract crowds. It's neither a gourmet bistro nor a hidden gem, so don't expect a sophisticated atmosphere. That said, I find some of the reviews a bit harsh. The establishment doesn't pretend to be anything more than a good portside brasserie—simple, a little rustic, but rather authentic in its own way (and that's a good thing!). People come here for classic dishes: burgers, mussels and fries, crêpes, and especially for the location. Personally, I found the food simple and good, with excellent sweet crêpes. The service was friendly, with a fairly young and energetic team. It might not be the ideal place for those seeking a fine dining experience, but for a restaurant located on the port of La Rochelle, I think it holds its own quite well.
