As two cycling couples we stayed for five nights in the rooms above Café Velo. Our beds were super comfy and made up with sheets and a throw (instead of a duvet) just as requested. Both rooms were clean, spacious and well-equipped (with the added advantage of a shared kitchen). The bathrooms also worked well – great shower, and all the sockets and hooks in the right places!
We ate in the café on our first evening – lovely simple small plates with glasses of fabulous wine. We also had delicious breakfasts sitting outside overlooking the river. Truly wonderful banana loaf!
The locking garage was a real bonus for our bikes.
Anna and Charles couldn’t have been more welcoming – and we look forward to a return visit!
Café so-british... Les pâtisseries nous font atterrir en Grande-Bretagne, belle terrasse. Par contre, l'expresso est en fait un vulgaire café filtre que l'on peut voir servie au pichet par la serveuse...
Friendly welcome, good operation during my first visit. Quality products with reasonable prices. Next time, I will try the coffee and chocolate there.

On the other hand, it would be better not to sweep the floor with a stiff broom while the customers were eating, I got all the dust in my nose, it was really unpleasant. Your broom is not suitable for cleaning the floor. You need a flat broom with a map that grips the dust.
I have been dealing with this store for 10 years and it has always been an excellent experience. I highly recommend it. The prices are very reasonable.
