Cafétéria SUPER U sur Baume-Les-Dames

20/04/2024: Not having stayed at the hotel, this little note will only concern the restaurant 🍽😋 Gourmet cuisine wonderfully produced by Laurent and Patrick Cachot since 1993, the year in which I discovered this establishment which was already a gem at the time. Small restaurant with only around ten tables (+ terrace in season) magnificently nestled on the heights of Baumes-les-Dames, a pretty little village near Besançon 25. Fabric tablecloths and napkins, silver cutlery, it immediately sets the tone 👌🏻✨ Warm and professional welcome and service from a very kind young woman who will put you at ease and will take great care of you throughout your tasting. Seasonal menu with fresh produce giving high-quality dishes that are particularly tasty (everything is homemade, even the appetizers) and superbly prepared while being COPIOUS; which, you will agree, is rather rare for a gourmet. More than affordable menus from 54€ (starter + main course + dessert) +5€ cheese supplement. Wine list so extensive that it makes you dizzy, a real marvel and with affordable gems. Digestives galore. We feel so much at home at Château d’As where there is an obvious air of serenity. If the rooms are like the restaurant it must be pleasant to stay there to visit the pretty views of Franche-Comté. 12/03/2024: Booked by phone. English was possible. Arrival: friendly Parking: right in front of the door. Clairvoyant. The stairs are quite loud. Mattresses are rather soft. Dinner: 2 * Michelin, the sea bass fillet on risotti with spagel and truffle was sensational. Unfortunately the fillet isn't the same. The vegetables on the plate tasted better. Breakfast: no gluten free bread, but was able to bring my own and toast it, which was great.
