Canada'Venture sur Metz

Restaurant visit on February 14th. The owner is jovial and loves to joke around, so be aware that this might bother more reserved people. Regarding the food, I ordered the poutine of the day with Reblochon cheese, among other things, but the flavor was lacking, practically nonexistent. It wasn't bad, but I was expecting a more pronounced taste. There was cheese, but it was more like melted cheese. I ordered the Canadian coffee as an after-dinner drink, which comes with a small chocolate bag. However, the chocolate was already opened and looked damaged. I don't think it had been eaten, but it puzzled me. In conclusion, regarding the food, I found it a bit pricey and the service could have been a little more polished, but I didn't have a bad experience. My wife's dish looked quite good, so perhaps I'll give it another try.

A complete change of scenery. A meal featuring homemade specialties. A warm welcome from beginning to end. It's a place where you should take the time to chat. With our table neighbors this Saturday evening...a lovely conversation. A beautiful evening, a good meal.

Fantastic restaurant where you feel right at home. Generous portions and a really great menu. A perfect balance between tradition and modernity without being eccentric… no, seriously, these guys know their ice hockey, no doubt about it.

Amazing restaurant that will transport you straight to Canada! Everything is there! Beautiful decor, friendly staff, and REALLY good food! I had the pleasure of eating a royal poutine for the first time, and it was excellent!

A fantastic discovery on December 21, 2025! We ate very well from start to finish, and the service was excellent. A wonderful find on a quiet little street in Metz. Special mention to the owner, who is incredibly friendly and always has a joke to make the diners laugh, making the experience even better. The restaurant is also child-friendly, even for very young children. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant has a lot of charm: the atmosphere is pleasant, the decor is lovely, and you feel like you're traveling for the duration of your meal. The owner, alone in the dining room, is very chatty and brings a good energy to the service. However, I found the prices a bit high for what you get. The fries didn't seem homemade, and paying €8 for a small beer is hard to justify. I was also a little surprised by some of the manager's remarks: no, women who file rape charges don't do it "for the money," and no (even if Trump keeps saying it), Europe isn't going to become a "Muslim nation." These kinds of comments really don't belong during a meal. It's a place with some good qualities, but the overall experience remains mixed.
