A very warm welcome and genuine friendliness from the staff. The poutine was adapted to French tastes (phew!), there was a good selection of Canadian beers, and the wine prices were very reasonable for a restaurant purchase. Service can be slow on weekends when the restaurant is full, and the food remains in "bistro" mode, meaning average in terms of quality, but the staff is fantastic! I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 because on my return, the staff is truly exceptional, and that makes a big difference to my experience.

Had dinner at Canadian Corner near our office and it turned out to be a great find. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, perfect for unwinding after a long workday. The steak isn’t the thick-cut style, but it’s a good size—juicy, tender, and full of flavour. The real standout for me was the French fries: perfectly cut, wonderfully crunchy, and the kind you just can’t stop eating. Overall, a very enjoyable meal with solid comfort food done right. I’d happily come back again on my next business trip.

Visiting as a group of three, we opted for a fish fillet salad, chicken spaghetti in tomato sauce, and a seafood pasta, accompanied by a shared bottle of red wine. The dishes were simple yet executed with confidence—fresh ingredients, balanced flavours, and generous portions. The seafood pasta stood out in particular, rich without being overwhelming, while the chicken tomato spaghetti offered comforting familiarity done right. What truly elevates the experience is the setting and hospitality. The owner’s warm welcome sets the tone, and with a lake park just outside, the atmosphere is calm, quiet, and effortlessly relaxing. It’s an ideal spot for an unhurried meal, where good food and a peaceful environment come together seamlessly.

26/10/2025: First time trying this restaurant because the Japanese place (Nagoya, which we usually order from) was closed today. 50-minute wait for three takeout meals. The food was very good (meatball skewers, maki), but the rice wasn't cooked properly, and the portions were ridiculously small: rice, soup, maki, and sushi. Given that the prices are still quite high, it would be reasonable to at least increase your portion sizes, especially since your food is otherwise good. We won't be ordering from you again, which is a shame because your food is otherwise high quality.
