Cancale Gourmand sur Cancale

A lovely spot, especially at this time of year when few restaurants are open… Impeccable welcome and service! Despite not having a reservation, we got a great table. The €25 set menu is a good deal and offers a complete meal for a reasonable price. Be aware that the drinks are quite expensive, although the organic sweet cider is amazing!! A superb experience with a beautiful view and glorious sunshine on Wednesday, January 28th… Highly recommended!!

Lunch on the terrace for four people, on a sunny day, no reservation required! A very warm welcome, top-notch service with kindness and smiles! The food was excellent, enjoyed by all four of us. And to top it all off: a free bag holder (so we didn't have to leave our handbags on the ground)! We'll be back!!

I highly recommend this restaurant. We received a perfect welcome (there were five of us). The staff were attentive, kind, and always smiling, with exceptional service. The setting is lovely, close to the sea. We had lunch on the terrace (be sure to book ahead, it's often full). The food was excellent; we thoroughly enjoyed it! We chose: - Seafood sauerkraut, prepared with great flavor and a generous portion—a real treat. - A seafood platter and sea bass fillet, made with fresh, high-quality, and delicious products. - Pasta with pesto and chicken nuggets and fries for the children, who also loved them. For dessert, we had ice cream, crêpes, and a gourmet coffee, all very good as well. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The price is reasonable for a location in the port of Cancale and for the quality of the food. Thank you again to the team at "La Place" restaurant for allowing us to have a wonderful time. We can't wait to return!

Honestly, this restaurant in Cancale is fantastic! I had an amazing meal; everything was delicious from start to finish. The service was top-notch, super friendly, and the atmosphere was great… It's a place where you know right away you're going to have a wonderful time. If you're ever in Cancale, go for it, it's a sure thing!!! Special mention to the waitress Kenza!
