Great and charming place in belleville. An open kitchen and a cozy setting for a lively dinner with the family.
The food was great but a tad short of amazing.
For starters we took:
The broccoli with parmesan was good idea and tasted very good but lacked salt and acidity for it to be a star dish.
The straciatella was very tasty but again just a tad bit short on seasoning to make it a 5/5
The egg with mushrooms was really good. Runny yolk with earthy mushrooms to round that dish perfectly!
For the main course we took the Coquelet which is a small half chicken. The chicken was tender the sauce a bit meh. Sweet was the only flavor that I felt, it lacked richness.
The echine de porc though is really really good. The star dish for sure. It is to share for two people but I could have eaten it alone. Not because the dish was small, far from it, but because it was sooo good I could not stop.
Yes I will be coming back as the menu changes often and the experience was great even if some dishes were not perfect
A small place where you are sure to eat well every time, on the go, for a lunch with colleagues or even for business or an impromptu or more romantic dinner, all the options are good for having a good time!
