Carabot sur Cherbourg-Octeville

We had a delightful time enjoying delicious and original cuisine. The open kitchen is a real plus. The waiter and chef were friendly and engaged with their customers. A great addition to Cherbourg's dining scene.

This is the third restaurant on the list recommended by the Culinary College of France. And everything is very, very delicious! The chef is a cheerful guy.

Carabot is our favourite restaurant in Cherbourg. Fresh, local ingredients prepared by a family team. The chef explained a little about some of the dishes - though how he found the time, I don't know! We dined at the bar, which I recommend - you get dinner and a show as it overlooks the cocktail station and the kitchen itself! A vibrant place with delicious food.

A chef who dares, smiling, attentive, and listens. Tonight, an excellent time at Le Carabot. A restaurant I can only recommend; a few minor flaws, but overall, the dishes are truly excellent! They surprise and simply delight with their flavor, creaminess, and generous portions. One small drawback, because there has to be one: no cheese in the land of Camembert! 😉 But this is more than compensated for by the joviality of the team who run the establishment and the attentive service. In short: I recommend it!
