CASA ROMANA sur Montgivray

Nice setting with pleasant terrace.. very professional and friendly staff. The dishes are very good, excellent 5 cheese pizza, both crispy and soft, well garnished. Very good Milanese escalope accompanied by three cheese pasta, we find the Italian taste. Recommended address....

Staying at La Châtre for the day, my friend and I decided to go to Casa Romana, quite famous in the city, to eat a pizza. The service is more than adequate, we were well received and the pizzas arrived on time. The restaurant as a whole was very friendly and the atmosphere equally pleasant. As for the pizzas, we were not very disappointed, having taken a Sicilia and my friend a Raclettes, our observations were quite similar, the pizzas were quite bland. Despite certainly quality ingredients, it was missing a little something to make it a pizza that was truly out of the ordinary from a taste point of view, especially compared to the price of the latter which I find perhaps a bit too inflated. A big strong point for cooking in a real pizza oven, however I think that the dough might benefit from being left to rest a little longer, to give it a less dry texture. Despite everything, Casa Romana remains a very suitable establishment to enjoy a pizza with family, friends or colleagues, which I invite you to discover for yourself!

A friendly setting for a small Italian restaurant where the welcome, the service, the food and the setting make you have a pleasant time!! The quality/price ratio is more than satisfactory. I recommend if you are in the area.

Après avoir visité la maison de George Sand sur la route de la châtre un stop déjeuner à la casa romana - sans réservation ils nous ont trouvé une place pour 4 à l’ombre. Le jeune serveur étudiant y met tout son cœur avec une belle politesse et le repas salade landaise superbe moules frites extra et plat de côté parfait ! Un bon repas très abordable - et service rapide merci
