CASA ROMANA sur Montgivray

The welcome is truly warm and the place is magnificent. There is a terrace on the banks of the Indre River in the shade of a huge sequoia planted in 1890, and if you want to enjoy it you will need to book as it is very popular.

A very pleasant place. The staff are excellent and very welcoming to customers. Beautiful setting both inside and out.

My stars go primarily to the team of young servers who were incredibly friendly. As for the food, it was good, but the quality seemed rather mass-produced. Considering the length of the menu and the short wait after ordering... it's still good value for money, and the quick service was a pleasure.

Incredible! The LSC Festival was cancelled. Stunned and disappointed, at 8:45 pm, I was turned away from restaurants for dinner... what a disaster! And then we arrived at Casa Romana, which was packed, even the parking lot... the staff were overwhelmed and running around everywhere. And yet, they accepted us and welcomed us with a smile, found us a table, and seated us. And we were able to have dinner... very nice! The service was welcoming and friendly despite the crowds, and always efficient. The salad was fresh and well-prepared. Finally, we were able to have a peaceful dinner in a relaxed atmosphere with truly kind and attentive staff. Thank you to Casa Romana and its team! Of course, I recommend it. I've been back since and I can confirm...

Excellent restaurant. Passing through the area, and of course without a reservation, I was greeted with a smile and had the pleasure of dining there. Everything was delicious, generous portions, and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend it.

Excellent value for money, open every day, friendly staff

A simple and warm welcome. The setting is ideal under this huge tree (especially in warm weather!). The menu is very comprehensive and the food is perfectly prepared. I've always managed to get a table when dining alone, but I recommend making a reservation!

Drawn in by the setting, we decided to have lunch at La Casa Romana. And indeed, the setting is lovely, especially the pretty shaded terrace where a majestic sequoia spreads its branches. The service was also quite good, with smiling and attentive waitresses and waiters. The dishes were beautifully presented and appetizing. And yet, we left very disappointed: the menu included a Milanese-style veal cutlet, which was tasty but slightly overcooked, and beef skewers, which were part of the daily specials. The latter were inedible, not because the meat was bad or the dish poorly prepared, but because the meat was very sinewy. While it might have been suitable for a pot roast, it shouldn't have been used for grilling. The restaurant, however, didn't charge us for the dish, which was a nice touch. Let's just say it wasn't our day... We'll try again.

The pizza was very good. The service was friendly, but there was an organizational problem among the servers. They weren't serving whom, and not two people were sitting at the same table.
