Casa Viale sur Meximieux

We had dinner last night at Casa Viale restaurant in Meximieux and everything was perfect: from the service to the atmosphere, and most importantly, the pizzas. We had a wonderful time. The staff is attentive, very friendly, and genuine, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. The pizzas are delicious, generously topped, and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great place for a friendly and high-quality dinner.

As an Italian accustomed to good pizza, I found the pizza we had here to be absolutely delicious. It was cooked perfectly and the topping was incredibly generous. I highly recommend the buffalo mozzarella. The staff were kind and friendly; they even moved us to a table outside because it was too hot inside. Highly recommended.

Quiet and friendly location, fast and personal service, and they speak English for foreigners. Lots of choices on the menu. I'll be back; the mountain calzone was delicious.

Yesterday, we had dinner on the terrace at this pizzeria. The setting is really nice, but the experience was spoiled by several things: The terrace and the pollution: Between the cars parked right in front (even though there's no proper parking space) and the inconsiderate drivers who leave their engines running, we ate surrounded by exhaust fumes. It's very unpleasant, and this kind of behavior should be addressed by the establishment. When we pointed it out to the driver (who clearly prioritized his car over his brain), the restaurant owner took no action and completely ignored the problem. The inaccurate ingredients: Two of us ordered a carbonara pizza advertised with guanciale. What arrived was just plain bacon... Clever for saving money. When we asked, they told us they were out (of course...). The questionable extras: To top it all off, there's an extra charge for sharing a pizza, which isn't mentioned anywhere on the menu. This was also the case for two English tourists next to us who had to pay a €5 "plate charge" (a little profiteering from the language barrier?). To be perfectly fair, the restaurant owner gave us a 10% discount on the bill and offered us complimentary after-dinner drinks to make up for it. It's a gesture, but a more transparent stance and communication at the time would have been far preferable to this small discount. It's a shame: the pizzas are good, and everyone agrees on that, but the overall experience and the management of the terrace are clearly lacking.

Excellent pizzas, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly service. It's a shame the pizza chefs feel entitled to make comments to the staff in front of customers (one star deducted).

I regularly come to this establishment, especially for a dish I love (buffalo Camembert), and after placing my order, I was told they were out of it. I was there to celebrate an event and order my favorite dish, so the least they could have done was mention it when I ordered. With the limited selection of dishes in the kitchen compared to the pizzas, it doesn't seem difficult to check which dishes are available. Next time I call to make a reservation, I'll ask if the dish is available so I don't come for nothing.

While traveling in the area, I went there on the recommendation of my colleagues. I wasn't disappointed; the pizza was excellent.

A pleasant restaurant with pizzas that richly deserve their award-winning reputation. The prices are no higher than elsewhere. A real treat and a great time.

The pizzas are absolutely divine, the dough is perfect, and the ingredients are always incredibly fresh. The welcome is always warm, and the team is so attentive, which makes the experience even better.
