The best caneles in Bordeaux. Whoever thinks different is confused. Great crunch. Great sweetness. Other places give you chewy, soft overly rum-tasting pastries. Cassonade nails it. Perfect composition. To me, it is not even a comparison to other places.

One of the first caneles we had was from this shop. In the original, the taste of rum is slightly strong. Overall, it tasted amazing. The shop is also very close to the Grosse Cloche as well. Walk through the cobbled streets from the shop, you won't regret it.

We happened to be passing by and stopped to eat. The two women were very friendly, and the cookies, lemon cake, and cold drinks were delicious! We also succumbed to the canelés, both for ourselves and as gifts; they were excellent!

The cannelées are really delicious. I discovered them on a food tour with the No Diet Club. The saleswoman, however, was very unfriendly.

21/08/2026: I liked it, but the wine prices are excessive. The girls who work there are super attentive and help you with everything.
18/08/2026: Delicious platters, excellent wine, and a fantastic tasting system. We highly recommend it! A small suggestion: it might be a good idea to include labels with some basic information about the wines.
