A quiet gastronomic stopover in a magnificent castle on the way back from vacation

Magnificent setting, magnificent space to receive and have an excellent time! Swimming pool, tennis, renovated and air-conditioned castle rooms, elevator, ... a very beautiful setting...

Rien de gastronomique dans le menu à 90 euros. Pas de surprise, des cuissons aléatoires, plats tièdes, assaisonnements minimes … Ne parlons pas du service : le sourire est en option, on vous ouvre votre bouteille et vous faites le service vous même, on se trompe sur l’intitulé des plats quand on oublie pas de vous les annoncer, on débarrasse la table lorsque l’on y pense, on ne vous propose pas de café !!! Aucune passion pour leur métier dans ce service. Du jamais vu dans un cadre aussi majestueux avec des tarifs de 43 euros et 90 euros.

My day at the Château Castel Novel restaurant was a true gastronomic delight. Nestled in the heart of a magnificent and historic setting, the restaurant offers an elegant and refined atmosphere. The cuisine was simply exquisite, showcasing fresh, local ingredients with exceptional creativity. The service was impeccable, with attentive and professional staff. I recommend for a memorable gastronomic getaway.

assez inegale. la cadre est magnifique. le service assez aleatoire ( on ne presente pas les plats, on ne debarasse pas les verres d'apperitifs,...). Le service est super lent ( apperitif 50 min apres notre arrivé) mais pour un dimanche de paques en famille...ce n'est pas genant. La cuisine est variable...certains plats super fins et suprenant ( dessert au rose litchi, ravioles de langoustines) d'autres assez decevants et certains servis...froids et donc renvoyés en cuisisne. Le vrai soucis est les quantites ou pour un menu a 90 euros on n'a pas faim en sortant mais on est content de diner ....par contre la carte des vins a bq de bons rapports qualité prix. ils ont la courtoise de nous offrir l'apperitif.

The service is super slow (aperitif 50 minutes after our arrival) but for an Easter Sunday with family...it's not a problem. The cuisine varies...some dishes are super fine and surprising (lychee rose dessert, langoustine ravioli) others are quite disappointing and some are served...cold and therefore sent back to the kitchen. The real problem is the quantities or for a menu at 90 euros we are not hungry when we go out but we are happy to dine....on the other hand the wine list has good value for money. they have the courtesy to offer us an aperitif.

Very nice stopover for anyone crossing the country or visiting the region, beautiful castle, comfortable room with old-fashioned charm, delicious dinner!
