So where to start…the place, well located at the entrance to the small village of Katzenthal. The restaurant is a pretty cellar with a simplistic but pleasant decor.
The welcome is original to say the least: the waitress (boss I think) who gently gets confused with the cooking...that doesn't really matter, I think.
The menu is simple, but the choice is satisfactory. What we tasted was very good: the tarte flambée as an aperitif was good, the pork cheeks a treat for the taste buds and the munstiflette hearty.
On y était venu il y a plus de 10 ans et rien à redire, on avait très bien mangé...et en août 2024 on y retourne et là grosse déception.... personne à part nous en salle en plein mois d' août...les repas ne sont pas terribles, pas ou trop cuits pour certains aliments....du surgelé à gogo...rien de fait maison... franchement bien déçus par rapport à ce qu on avait connu jadis ..on a appris ensuite qu ils avaient changé de propriétaire...ceci explique celà...c était une bonne adresse mais ça c était avant....

Patronne et serveuse souriantes. Plats copieux (choucroute)et joues de porc au pinot rouge excellentes.
