The dishes were well served in sufficient quantity, but the presentation could be more refined and the meat was overcooked.

Great food in a beautiful setting with excellent service.

On a Sunday in July, the restaurant wasn't very busy. For lunch, they offered venison, roe deer, and wild boar dishes in addition to the regular menu items (all overpriced). Unfortunately, we were tempted and ordered two different game dishes. All the plates looked very appealing, BUT then: Cold, tasteless noodles; my meat, while tender, tasted like liver. The vegetables were terrible zucchini cubes, which were also cold, and the plate was cold too. In the summer, they offer cauliflower, broccoli, and so on... there's plenty of choice! What did taste good were my homemade fries. It was all just expensive!!! When I go out to eat, I want good food, not a highly decorated plate for a photoshoot!!!! Less decoration, but warm and tasty. We weren't regulars, but we ate here quite often. We won't be coming back. It was very disappointing!

Overall, I was quite disappointed. There were nearly 60 covers in the two dining rooms, and the atmosphere was rather noisy. The prices are very high, even with the Gourmet Passport. For my starter, I ordered the crispy quail fillets and pan-seared foie gras on a bed of salad. The quail pieces were cold and quite tough or dry, which wasn't pleasant. In a dish like this, the quail fillets should be served hot, pink, and tender. Since quail meat is quite lean, it quickly becomes firm and dry if it's cooked in advance and then left to sit, or if it's overcooked. For my main course, I ordered the 300g ribeye steak with a cream and mushroom sauce. I had asked for it to be cooked between "medium" and "medium," but the meat was more like rare to medium, very red inside, with a few large pieces that were impossible to eat. The dessert, on the other hand, was quite good. In the end, the bill was still high: around €130 for two people before the discount. With the Gourmet Passport (50% off excluding drinks), we paid €73.50, including €60 for the meal (instead of €120) and €13.50 for drinks, which is still expensive considering the experience. Another surprising detail about the drinks: a half-pint of lemonade was charged at €6.50, even though we were only served a glass. It's a shame, because the setting is pleasant, but overall, we weren't impressed.

Unfortunately, the owner's welcome remains the weak point of this establishment. During our visit today, arriving at 11:45 am, the rather unwelcoming remark, "Please, have a seat, but I'm just finishing up my menus, you're early," left us quite perplexed. We had the same impression when we ordered, with a rather insistent insistence on knowing whether we would like a starter, main course, and dessert, or just a starter and main course. This is all the more disappointing because, as far as the food is concerned, we have never been disappointed. The dishes are flavorful, generous, and well-prepared. A special mention also goes to the waiter, who was very friendly and pleasant. In fact, at the time, we preferred to have dessert elsewhere. In the end, we will have fond memories of the food... but much less so of the service. Regretfully, this restaurant will no longer be among our choices—nor among those we would recommend. It's a shame, because with service that matched the quality of the food, the experience would be entirely different.
