28/05/2026: I don't know if it was because of the heat that day, with temperatures almost 35°C outside, but I had a rather unpleasant experience with the staff, which really surprised me.
I've been to hundreds of Starbucks around the world for over 15 years, and I'm a very regular customer and a member of the loyalty program. I'm used to my visits to Starbucks going very well, whether it's the drinks, the food, or the staff, but this time, even though the drink was good as usual, the staff was quite unpleasant, again, much to my surprise. I'm used to Starbucks employees being very kind, welcoming, smiling, and sometimes even very sociable. But in this particular case, they barely smiled at me or even looked at me. They barely said hello or goodbye, and in general, they were simply cold. It was almost as if they wanted me to leave the store as quickly as possible, which is a first for me.
But what probably surprised me most was that there was a customer before me and another after me who had a completely different interaction with the staff. They were very kind and welcoming, smiling, and even chatted with one of the customers for a while. So I'm really confused. And it's a shame, because the drink was good, as always.
24/05/2026: A huge thank you to Doaâ for her warm welcome, her advice, and for taking the time to explain the different drinks. We were able to discover the delicious iced matcha banana. A ray of sunshine in the grey of Paris ;)
