Phew.., finally the break after the ascent of the Col du Molard then that of the Iron Cross😰😰😵. The complete omelette is really complete. Served quickly and with a smile. Very friendly welcome and without forcing prices despite the absence of competition.

Fully agree with a previous review: this is a simple restaurant at a fantastic location with marvelous views and excellent French food. Kitchen open from 12-15h, i.e. lunch only, dishes from 12-20 euros. We had the trout with risotto (€20), and blueberry pie for desert (€6), and both were delicious. The terrace/bar is open for drinks/salts/sweets during daytime (10/11h-18h) and its panorama vista stays on as long as the weather shows it. We particularly loooved the local white wine mixed with crème de cassis. Don’t be fooled by the somewhat dilapidated appearance of the (originally French Alpine Club, from before there was a road) building: unless you’re coming by on a monday (or in the evening): YES, THEY ARE OPEN. Two MOST KIND French guys run the place and do their utmost to make you feel welcome. (We visited three days in a row as our camper got stuck on the col on a friday, so we were waiting for repairs/garage on monday, and they generously helped us out with bread+water, which we were unexpectedly short of.) Ample parking space right in front of the restaurant. Contrary to what the drinks list states (see my photo), they DO accept credit cards. Note: Open only during summer+fall, from some time in May/June (depending on the snow having melted & the Col Glandon having opened) to Oct31.
