Overall, we had a good meal.
One complaint: the pasta with gorgonzola was extremely bland.
The waiter was a bit condescending, but this criticism doesn't apply to his colleagues.

Chantebise is in a preeminent position in Alpe d'Huez at the top of 4 ski lifts. It's big, not the cheapest, but nonetheless a really great place on the mountain for lunch or drinks stops. Friendly, efficient serving staff, and 2 quite different table service areas, one taking bookings and one not. Lots of outdoor seating. The non-booking area has a limited selection of more 'snacky' things, such as huge toasted ciabatas, but they are generous and tasty. Draft Leffe. Also take-away cabin outside.

Very pleasant surprises!
We had lunch there as a family and received a very friendly welcome.
The regional dishes were of good quality and reasonably priced.
The blueberry tart was delicious.
A great place for a break.

What can I say about Victor and Jeanne? Two fantastic servers, impossible to choose between them. A huge thank you to Victor for his initial welcome, which was incredibly encouraging with his kindness, professionalism, and smile. Big up to Victor!

Chantebise is a very good and beautiful restaurant. We had a lovely view, a great atmosphere, and the food, while expensive, was very good. It was worth the price. The waiter was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this restaurant.
