Chateau Bellevue sur Cazaubon

We spent two nights at Château Bellevue in the beautiful "Hortense" suite, so romantic with its floral wallpaper in shades of cream and sky blue. The bedding was very comfortable. To be perfectly honest, our stay was absolutely perfect, and you'd have to be very demanding to find anything to criticize! In detail: The place is delightful and peaceful, and the view from the rooms overlooking the countryside (at least from ours) is idyllic. Breakfast, served in the veranda overlooking the garden, offers homemade jams, honey from the estate, brioche, granola, and freshly baked cake, free-range eggs from the Gers region, warm pastries, local farm yogurt, good cheeses (not mass-produced Babybel...), ham, and more. It's a real treat to stroll through the well-maintained, flower-filled park, shaded by very tall trees. Children of all ages, from 1 to 101, will appreciate the friendly presence of animals (donkeys, geese, pigeons, chickens, rabbits, etc.), as well as the outdoor pool, the pétanque court, and the billiards room. The meals are delicious, prepared with vegetables from the chef's garden and local produce, and served with warm, crusty homemade bread: it's as beautiful as it is tasty, and the portions are perfect for a normal appetite. I didn't try the spa area myself, but one of my daughters did: hammam, heated indoor whirlpool, terrace overlooking the garden, and the option of sipping herbal tea in a bathrobe by a fireplace to warm up in winter—it's pure luxury! Everything at Château Bellevue exudes an atmosphere of great elegance and authenticity; it's a place with a history and a vibrant atmosphere. It feels like a beautiful, charming holiday home, not a hospital like most hotels... It's incredibly elegant but not flashy, poetic, with linens from antique wardrobes, noble floorboards that creak (a little), silverware and Limoges china stamped with the castle's coat of arms, tasteful decor (the living room and dining room are truly beautiful), a cozy, intimate atmosphere, and above all... truly warm hosts! The only disappointing moment of the stay... was having to leave ^^

Beautiful estate, excellent restaurant, warm welcome

If you temper your expectations, I think this quaint hotel will meet them. The staff is extremely friendly, and you can tell management is trying to invest and update their amenities. Is everything perfect? No, for example the first night when we checked in the one elevator they have was out of service, so we carried our own luggage up two flights. No big deal, I wasn't expecting fulltime bell hop service here. It was fixed the next day and was ready for our bags when we left. There are only two people providing dinner service, so when all the guests come down for dinner, they can get overwhelmed, but when it is your turn for service, they are extremely attentive, and Mr. Brochard is exemplary at finding a local wine to pair with your dinner won't break the bank, and also pairing the wonderful selection of brandy in their library. Dinners felt like home cooked meals, not overly garnished, flamboyant, just solid meals. But the chestnut bread....that was the star of the meal. Perfect crust, perfect center, and home made. We stayed in one of their larger suites, and smelled nice and fresh. The room A/C unit worked well enough to handle the heatwave that France was experiencing. The only thing I would give 4, or even maybe 3 stars to was the pool. While it was pretty clean, it didn't seem like it was draining all that well. There was a lot of pollen in that part of France during our visit, and there were some noticeable particles in the pool water.

A charming and elegant short stay with great attention paid to well-being. We had a delightful time: a warm welcome, magnificent surroundings perfect for relaxation, available activities (spa, pétanque, walks through the idyllic vegetable garden and among the animals...), excellent homemade meals (we are culinary epicureans), and lovely staff. Nothing to add or take away! Thank you for the stay.

As with every stay, it was perfect in every way, from the hotel to the restaurant. A passionate family, driven by a sense of hospitality and attentiveness – values ​​that have become so rare in the hotel industry in 2026.

It's excellent! The chef is incredibly generous, empathetic, and more than just kind—very, very professional! We had a wonderful time. I highly recommend this place for absolutely everything! I've been returning to Château Bellevue for my special occasions for the past three years, and it's always a true pleasure. The staff is exceptionally well-mannered and always attentive. The cuisine is a delightful discovery with each visit, consistently excellent. And the spa… a pure moment of relaxation and tranquility. A place that's truly dear to my heart and that I wholeheartedly recommend!
