A remarkable visit to Château de Chamirey in mid-September for a comprehensive tasting of five wines 🍷. The estate, located in Mercurey, offers an idyllic setting in the heart of the vineyards, with a splendid view of the historic château where the owner resides 🍇. A huge thank you to Vadim for his warm welcome. He led the session with great professionalism, speaking both French and English, and sharing captivating and accessible technical explanations. The remarkable balance of the wines testifies to precise expertise and a beautiful diversity of terroirs, perfectly suited to each occasion 🥰. The quality was such that my companions and I naturally left with several favorite bottles. A must-do for lovers of authentic wine experiences ✨.

A nice tasting during the harvest season by a very knowledgeable and fluent English speaking host. Our favourites were the red Mercurey Premier cru monopole, and the white Mercurey Premier cru was also extremely good. We were also given the opportunity to try a Nuits St Georges and it really put on full display just how different vintages can be from the same land.
