Chateau de La Borde sur Ussel

We were lucky enough to be able to spend a night in the heart of this castle, my companion and I. The decor is splendid, warm, the facade of the castle is magnificent. The bedding is very pleasant. The decor is tastefully done. The breakfast is very good and the staff is attentive. An unforgettable moment.

The two of us stayed at the Château de la Borde for 2 nights in September 24 while traveling through. The welcome from Pierre's sister was very friendly and helpful. Our room was large, beautiful, very clean and quiet. The evening food offerings are unusual but very pleasant. You get (in the fridge) a prepared 3-course menu (20€), which is not selectable but is different and fresh every day. You just have to ask what is there. You then warm up the main course in the microwave, which is much tastier than you imagine because the dish in the porcelain dishes and the microwave are coordinated. Then you can enjoy the meal together with your own wine/water in the very tastefully furnished (eating) hall of the "castle" with fine crockery, cutlery and beautiful glasses, in peace and quiet, whenever you want. Café afterwards is free. On the first evening we didn't understand the concept and had to rely on the limited offerings in Ussel, which we later regretted. Magnificent quiet castle, tastefully restored, comfortable and very clean rooms, very beautiful dining room Very good breakfast prepared by Angélique, a very welcoming, attentive and responsive person. Thank you for our bikes. The dinner prepared by the cook, available in the fridge, was very good. Depending on your arrival time, Angélique is not necessarily there to welcome you, but she will contact you by phone and give you all the explanations followed by a text message to confirm everything. No need to worry, everything is perfect

very beautiful hergerges externally and internally! ample parking! absolute confidence, provision of drinks at the bar... we were 3 cyclists, we were assigned a room to store our bikes! the meals are prepared, just need to be reheated! in the morning breakfast is prepared hot drinks are served at the bar it was perfect!...
