Chateau de Salettes sur Cahuzac-Sur-Vere

Very beautiful castle in the heart of the vineyards! A warm, relaxing and charming place. The rooms are impeccable, and the staff takes great care, I recommend, thank you again for your welcome!

We went to discover this restaurant with 3 people thinking that it was a gourmet restaurant recommended by the Michelin guide. The setting is nice as is the room but the rest is not up to par: the wines by the glass the level of the wines being low, the vacuum was not made, the 2 Gaillac wines tasted were stale. On the menu at €58, the appetizers: shortbreads are not of the day, the starters: the perfect egg with a very spicy pepper soup is ordinary, the main course: the duck cooked at low temperature is good but the accompaniment of 3 dauphine potatoes is a little tight, a vegetable would have been welcome. As the fish on the menu was not delivered, we were offered prawns…. Dessert: the ice cream machine being broken, no ice cream for desserts...instead a fine chocolate tart, good but tiny. The other strawberry dessert is served with sugar-free cream... Frankly disappointed, we then tested the reserve in Albi which for an equal price is clearly above all points of view.

Beautiful castle located in the Cahuzac countryside, near the Château de Mauriac. Very pleasant restaurant and original decoration. The menu is very tasty: meat cooked at low temperature, well-prepared products, really good sauces. Very good dessert but a little tight! There were 9 of us, we really enjoyed the meal and tasted excellent wines. Small downside: the commercial gesture of offering coffee would have been welcome given the final bill!

4 night stay. We have reservations about the restaurant given the asking price but we can only positively recommend the Hôtel du Château de Salettes. The management and staff are most welcoming and do everything to satisfy customers. Both efficient and friendly. The location in the middle of the calm of the vineyards, the beauty of the view offered from the swimming pool terrace invites you to rest. Note that some rooms in the Tower should be avoided if you are a little claustrophobic. We were moved to another room without difficulty. The new room was very nice and bedding for those who like firm mattresses. Also note a somewhat capricious WIFI. Despite these remarks, it's a YES for us.

Fabulous setting . Excellent food and very reasonably priced local wines. Pleasant unstuffy atmosphere. Our second visit and we will be returning in a few days!

A very charming place, beautiful rooms which mix rustic and modern aspects, spacious and very clean, the staff is attentive and very accommodating. We can only recommend this establishment. Thank you for your welcome and good luck!
