Chateau set in a lovely location. We were welcomed at reception and shown to our room. It had a large bed, quaint features and a bathroom with separate toilet.
Air-conditioning was great and although it seemed plush we had a few gripes...... When removing the decorative cushions from the bed they were all badly stained and dirty. We had reserved the room for 2 adults however there was only 1 bath towel and 1 hand towel in the bathroom. The shower was totally inadequate as due to the low ceiling it could only go 3ft from the bottom of the bath and impossible to stand under.
Breakfast, although pricey, was lovely with plenty of choice.

A peaceful spot by the water. A truly delightful gourmet meal, even including dishes I wouldn't normally eat. The decor is exquisite. The rooms and bedding are worthy of the hotel's star rating. I highly recommend it.
Just 10 minutes from Futuroscope.

The location is exemplary, but the service and the menu/meal did not live up to the price, and the portion sizes were inconsistent with the cost. The change of chef has not been successful.

This château, located in Chasseneuil-du-Poitou in a magnificent setting near the Clain River, offers beautiful hotel rooms and a spacious restaurant. The chef's dishes are also characterized by their flavors and creativity. We opted for the "Motte" menu, which included foie gras as a starter, Poitou lamb, a cheese trolley, and pear with Madagascar vanilla ice cream. Special mention goes to the exceptionally attentive and helpful staff. This hotel is also conveniently located near Futuroscope in Poitiers.
